Yoga
Movement is medicine
WHy Work Privately?
What if your yoga teacher was also your massage therapist and personal trainer, seamlessly integrating all of these essential aspects of your wellbeing? Imagine if your instructor had observed your body in action while you were biking, or lifting weights, allowing them to develop a keen understanding of your joint mobility, inherent strengths, and potential limitations.
What if your teacher already knew your specific fitness goals, understood your hidden trigger points, and could help you effectively relax your central nervous system?
Working one-on-one with a dedicated coach will not only help you establish a sense of accountability but will also lead to a profound deepening of your learning experience, all accomplished with greater efficiency and effectiveness.

What kind of yoga?
I’ve been teaching yoga since 2008. During this time, the landscape of modern yoga has changed. A lot. So as has my practice and what I teach. These days I’m interested in no nonsense, alignment-based yoga that focuses on unlocking our bio-intelligence and helping us live a healthy life through balanced physiology.
I am not a guru, a shaman, or a life coach. It is not in my purview to sell you a path to enlightenment. What I do bring to the mat is 30 years of practice, 200 hours of training from the White Lotus Foundation and over 500 hours of additional training in Prana Vinyasa Yoga with my teacher Shiva Rea. I’m certified in prenatal and children’s yoga and maintain my E-RYT 500 and YACEP certifications with the Yoga Alliance.
If you study with me you’ll get clear and concise cueing, hands-on adjustments that come from years of experience as a clinical massage therapist and sequencing that is designed to protect you from injury. Maybe in the process you’ll uncover insights about how you feel and who you are - but that’s your work. It’s my job to get out of the way.
